Who We Are

The Initiative for Health and Social Development (IHSD) is a trusted Nigerian non-profit organization improving health, protection, and economic resilience for vulnerable populations through evidence-based, community-led interventions. For over a decade, we have strengthened local systems and delivered sustainable impact — ensuring no one is left behind.

We deliver comprehensive programs that expand access to care, protect rights, and empower communities: HIV Prevention, Testing, Care & Treatment; Key Population-friendly services; Adolescent & Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health; Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC) Services; Gender-Based Violence Prevention & Response; Household Economic Strengthening and Livelihoods; Advocacy, Social Mobilization & Capacity Strengthening.
